Job Description and Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) with 7+ years of civil litigation experience.
Must be licensed to practice in Texas.
Case Management & Strategy
Oversee a full caseload from intake to resolution with minimal supervision.
Develop and implement litigation strategies tailored to client goals.
Evaluate case strengths, weaknesses, and risks for settlement or trial.
2. Client Relations
Serve as primary point of contact for clients on assigned matters.
Maintain regular updates, explain legal options, and manage client expectations.
Build and nurture long‑term client relationships.
3. Legal Research & Writing
Conduct complex legal research on statutes, case law, and procedural rules.
Draft high‑level pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Review and edit junior attorneys’ and paralegals’ work for accuracy and quality.
4. Courtroom & Hearing Representation
Lead hearings, mediations, and trials.
Prepare witnesses, exhibits, and trial strategies.
Handle oral arguments and direct/cross‑examinations.
5. Mentorship & Team Leadership
Supervise and mentor junior associates.
Provide constructive feedback on legal writing, strategy, and client communication.
Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
6. Administrative & Firm Leadership
Track billable hours and ensure timely entry of time records.
Organize and manage case files with precision and in strict adherence to the rules of civil procedure and all docket control deadlines.
Uphold and model firm values, ethics, and professional conduct.

Owens Law Group PLLC, a mid‑size law firm in downtown Conroe, is seeking a competent, motivated Senior Associate Attorney to join our team full time. We specialize in adversarial litigation and settlement negotiations in general business matters, probate and estate litigation, real estate disputes, landlord‑tenant issues, contract enforcement, debt collection, and tort litigation involving fraud, theft, negligence, and fiduciary breaches across Montgomery County and surrounding areas.
